Beatriz Torres has been a Physiotherapist practitioner for the past 30 years in acute settings, a pain center, and in her own private practice.Her significant post-operative scoliosis caused her pain and disability for many years. After treatments by several health care professionals resulted in poor outcomes, she finally discovered the Schroth method. She contacted Christa Lehnert-Schroth, PT, in Germany, the former clinical director of the Katharina-Schroth Klinik. Frau Lehnert-Schroth recommended Dr. Manuel Rigo at the Instituto Elena Salvá in Barcelona, Spain. Since Beatriz is bilingual in Spanish and English, she began treatment with Dr. Rigo as a scoliosis patient and simultaneously as a Physiotherapist to study the Three Dimensional Katharina-Schroth Method. Beatriz was subsequently treated and mentored by Christa Lehnert-Schroth herself at the Asklepios-Katharina-Schroth Klinik and Dr. Hans-Rudolf Weiss, MD, who has also mentored Beatriz. Beatriz later continued her education in the Schroth method for two more months with Christa Lehnert -Schroth and Dr. Weiss.
