Do You Think Depression Is a Choice?
Question by PJG: Do you think depression is a choice?
To quote another user: “I firmly believe that depression is a choice as well, with the exception of those individuals who have/suffer from it due to or attributed to a major personality or mental disorder”
” Depression is a choice, it’s something that you consciously choose to buy into.”
Personally, I don’t want to be depressed. I have no reason to feel this way either, it just happened. I don’t want to be on medication but I just want my life back. I want to be optimistic, motivated and happy in life, but I just feel the complete opposite for some reason.
What do you guys think?
