Nationwide Children’s Patient Headed to London for 2012 Paralympics – Nationwide Children’s proudly welcomed Alex Hendricks back to the hospital today. This time, he didn’t come as a patient; rather, as an inspiration to others just like him. Alex is headed to London, representing the US as a member of the men’s paralympic soccer team. Alex suffered a traumatic brain injury following his diagnosis of a brain tumor, and spent months recovering on our Inpatient Rehabilitation and Clinical Therapies unit. Today, Alex has far exceeded expectations and is thriving on the field and off. Nationwide Children’s is incredibly proud of Alex and will be cheering him on in England. Go ALEX!
