There is no cure for depression as it is a normal emotion, one of 6-8 basic ones you are born with and you need it in order to live, as it is a natural signal to change course in your thinking, behavior and/or environment, which currently are not the best for you. It is only a disorder if prolonged and/or extreme when it is called clinical depression etc.
However this article treats depression materialistically as a “Chemical imbalance”. See the article referenced in source for an account of recent studies, which cast doubt on this.
