Question by flobberworm93: Did Carrie Fisher really have that much hair in Star Wars?
My friend and I were debating whether it was her real hair or a wig. Because Leia has ridiculously long hair.
And please give your sources; anybody can speculate.

Well … everything but the answer to your question … lol … I skimmed around the site and couldn’t find anything “concrete” about her hair. I have heard her say in interviews that the “donut” hairdo she had in ep IV was all extensions … she says the same thing about the “big hair” she has in ep VI also. Never heard her say much about ep V but in that episode she doesn’t have any “big hair” looks. Another famous thing she always talks about is the fact that she couldn’t wear a bra during the filming of ep IV because Lucas said that space princesses didn’t wear them … they ended up having to use duck tape to keep the “girls” in place during the filming of the movie.
Listening to Carrie talk about her experiences with SW is usually a riot because she’s come to grips with the problems (alcohol, drugs, slight bout with insanity, REALLY bad parents) that had plagued her since SW vaulted her onto the Hollywood scene big time. There are a ton of clips on YouTube that show her SW sense of humor … most come from when she talks at yet another “shin-dig” to tell Lucas how “great” he is. There is one of them where she walks up to the mike to talk and starts off with “Hello … I’m Han Solo’s wife and I’m an alcoholic …”
She will always be known for her role of Princess Leia, how could she not be but she’s also a great example of a young person who went to Hollywood to be a star, became a star, and then was chewed on and spit back out again by Hollywood. What makes her story all the more great is that instead of slinking away and disappearing she fought her way back and has come away with a pretty decent career … loved her role in “When Harry Met Sally” … classic role for her unique style of personality.
Well there you have it … a long rambling answer that really doesn’t even come close to answering your question … lol … kind of entertaining though don’t you think …
