What Book Best Describes the Determination and Resolve of Depression Age People?

Question by Peace69: What book best describes the determination and resolve of depression age people?
I have read “The Greatest Generation” and “Cinderella Man” and others. I was wondering if anyone could tell me their favorite books about this subject. It could be about a person, family, or the generation as a whole. I have looked quite a few places, but I would like some feedback about other books. Thanks!!!!
