Is It Legal for Doctors to Write You an XR for Adderall if You Tell Them You Want to Lose Weight?
Question by Hello: Is it legal for doctors to write you an XR for adderall if you tell them you want to lose weight?
Also, is it possible to go to one of the little ER Clinics that have popped up everywhere and get an XR for adderall? I don’t have ADHD diganosed , but I know that I have it (its in my family, i have symptoms, etc) and I can’t afford to see a mental health doctor. Tell me how to get it perscribed! Thanks.
Also, please answer the question I asked, no unrequested advice! Thank you again!

It would be very unusual for a clinician who does not know you to just write for adderall at a “little ER Clinic”; I know that at all the UCs (they are Urgent cares not ERs) we DO NOT write for medications like this; we are not equipped to evaluate your need for it either. You need to be seen by either some one who specializes in this or your regular doc. That is also not saying you will get it at all.
