is there a difference and if so what is it??

Hi ,

There’s no difference between both terms . The only difference is the decade in which both terms were used .
In older times , people use the term Insane Asylum , but Mental Institution is the recent term and nowadays we call it , ” Mental Health Facility , or Mental Health Center .”
