BETTERING My Golf Game!! Please Help! :]?
Question by Emelia: BETTERING my golf game!! please help! :]?
My name is Emelia, I am a 14 year old girl.
I play on the golf team at my high school, and this February I am going to Florida to play with some friends.
I haven’t had time to practice my swing since this cold new england weather is soooooooo long!
Do you have any “exercises” for me to do during the day [school], and after school?
thanks!!

Hello, I am also 14 years old and am going to try out for my high schools golf team next year. It is on average about 20 degrees fahrenheit here so it is also very cold.
In my font yard I have a hitting net and chipping net. The hitting net just lets you hit balls into it and it is great practice. I usually hit a wedge, iron, and driver every day. I usually place the chipping net about 20 yards away and try to chip it in.
If your backyard/frontyard is not big enough for either of these, you could just do stretches with your arms and legs to keep your muscles moving. After this I would suggest taking a couple of clubs outside and just swinging them and get a good feel with them.
Another thing I like to do is practice my putting. I have an automatic ball return putter thing which helps my stroke out a lot. I hope I helped and that you enjoy playing golf. Good Luck.

A very important part of golf,as you know is flexibility…while sitting in a chair, just simply grab your left elbow with your right hand, and turn your left shoulder to the right…getting a full stretch,do the same for the right side. Hope it helps..
