Oakwood Hospital – Part 2 – (Kent County Lunatic Asylum) Maidstone 1990 – Part 2 of 4. Amateur footage recorded in November 1990 of the Oakwood Hospital in Maidstone. This captures the hospital during a transition period. Parts of the hospital had already been closed down and other parts were being wound down in preparation for closure in a few years. At the same time newer, modern psychiatric facilities were being built at the site. I have added my own soundtrack to the video as unfortunately the original soundtrack (if there was one) has been lost.
