does anyone know of a research or study done on the effect of sport on people with disabilities? anything such as improvements in lifestyle, motivation, education, confidence, etc… is good.
I need this for a research paper. Looked everywhere but was not able to find anything.

sport is good for anyone as fitter you are the less chance of heart attack etc…
Depending on the type of disability they have
Hart walker are a walk that enable some children who can walk with support to walk hands free. It improves blood circulation. Mostly used by children with cerebral palsy.

Having C.P he swam in the special olympic (even those it is for intellectual disability not phyiscal. It would be an amazing effort for him to swim 25m. He started in the water the others dive in. He finished 3rd. When it came time to give the medals instead of giving brozens he was reward gold.
He was not happy for been award the gold medal.

Sorry, but you must not know how to do research very well. There is a TON of information on this topic on the net. There are journals and conferences dedicated to this topic. There is one at Ohio State University every year in April.
