SBU Physical Therapy is Serving in Peru, November 2011 – The SBU Physical Therapy Mission team will be traveling from November 18 to November 29, 2011 to Lima, Peru. The team will serve the poorest of the poor in Lima with spiritual and physical health care needs. The team will provide Physical Therapy evaluation, treatment and teaching as well distribute equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and braces. This is the 3rd year that SBU Physical Therapy has joined MMI to serve in Peru. During the past several years, over 300 wheelchairs have been distributed and nearly 400 patients have come each year to see the team of Christian therapists.
