I have my first psychiatrist appointment tomorrow morning at 11am. What shold I expect? Im nervous for some reason… i dont know why.

Would it be better if I brought a “list” of like all my problems? Such as “depression, ptsd, anxiety” or would that like.. look bad? And if its needed, do they prescribe medicine on the first visit?

yes, make a list of your problems because there’s a good chance you’ll be a bit nervous during the session and you won’t remember all that is bothering you. no, they don’t prescribe medication on the first visit, they want to actually SEE your problem. anyone can say i have problems, they want to believe that you do, taking medication is serious. i hope you’re not going there just to get a benzo or something…

most likely he is going to ask you a bunch of ? to evaluate you and your mental status. always bring ?s cause you’ll forget in there and then kick yourself in the car.
