What was he doing when he was injured and what was the injury

I think he jumped off a car, or they threw him in the air or something, but when they were supposed to catch him they dropped him on the floor.

Claims that a back injury and the subsequent pain prescriptions has left him wheelchair bound and addicted to opiates.

I Googled his name to try to find the cause of his back condition and found two conflicting accounts: One says he injured his back while lifting boxes in his garage, while another claimed it happened during the filming of one of the scenes from the movie “Grease” where Jeff acted alongside John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. That was over 30 years ago.

I don’t see any mention of spinal surgeries. Is it possible that this man has become wheelchair bound without having gone through any surgery?

Also how does one break years of opiate addiction when it only opens the door to tremendous physical pain? Many speculate that his pain is being faked for the show to somehow revive his career, but I have come to realize that people who have never had chronic back pain don’t understand how debilitating it is and sometimes downplay its existence.
