How Do I Get an Early Start in Physical Therapy?
Question by Dominic: How do I get an early start in Physical Therapy?
I’m only a sophomore in High School, But I’ve been just so fascinated with the human body and how it works . Considering I’ve been weight lifting for two years, I believe this sparked my interest for Physical Therapy . How can I get a “head start” in Physical Therapy ? I’ve never been so driven and ambitious for anything more than this . And optimistically speaking, I think it would be great to be a Physical Therapist in the early 20s (:

Take an athletic training class. Take anatomy. Go to sports events with your school athletic trainer and work with him/her on any injuries that may come up. Talk to physical therapists in your area and see if you can look on.
Finally, look for college universities that have strong programs for physical therapy. You’ll have a lot of great experience and you’ll be all set for getting starts at an actual physical therapist in your 20s.
