I found some beautiful wallpaper at a Home Rehab Center. Is there anything special I need to do the walls besides clean them before I begin the hangiing process?

Also, you simply wet and press against the walls right?

well where i come from you have to use duct tape cuz we can’t afford none of that special juicy stuff that ur supposed to use to hang up some wall paper

but that got that wallpaper juice @ wal*mart. why don’t u try it .

There are a lot of “unknowns” regarding your question. If you have smooth, flat walls, it might work just fine dipping the paper in a water tray and hanging it on your walls. If your walls are painted with flat paint, you might consider painting the walls first with a prepping product just for this purpose. I believe it helps the removal process in the future. Personally, my walls are textured with semi-gloss paint, so the water method does not work. I have decided to not do the water method anymore. By brushing wallpaper adhesive on the back of the paper, I am assured that it will stick and it is tacky enough that I have time to move it into place and get it done right. Make sure you hang it straight. This is very important. Use a plumb line (chalk) or do what I do and use a long level to pencil a straight line to guide the first length of paper you attach to each wall. Do not turn the corner and keep matching the paper edges. You must hang the sheet anew at each corner (overlapping a little) and make sure it is straight again. Lastly, use sharp razor blades to cut off the excess (the type that snaps off to reveal a new blade) and wash off any adhesive on the front of the paper thoroughly. Good luck!
