Question by zsiray2003: How do you get grants for repair’s to your home.I am a paraplejic. And I am not good at writing up anything.
I have trouble writing sense my car accident and I have been told you write up letter’s for grants and they see is if you wrote your letter good enough you can reseve help from grant’s.

Call or write to your local college,see if someone there can help you. A student who is studying grant writing should be able to help you. I sincerely hope you get the help you need. God Bless!

In arkansas, where i live, there is an organization called “Arkansas Rehab” that can and does help people pay for services that they need to their home or things that they might need but aren’t able to afford. I think it depends on income, individual cases, needs, etc. but you might could search around on the internet for a similar service based on which state you live in.

Another idea: you could maybe contact a local service organization, or a church group and see if they might could help you out in some way. i’ve worked with a couple of groups of people and it is always rewarding for workers as well as for the people that are benefiting from the fixing up.

Last idea: contact a college (primarily the occupational therapy, interior design, or architecture departments) in your area and see if the students or the faculty would be interested in doing a project to help you out with the work that you need.

I don’t think that you need to look into government grants. That is a long drawn out process that would probably only be useful if you were in need of a very large sum of money.
