Question by Nicky the Kitty: How Does Alcohol Affect Your Hormones?
According to Cancer Research UK alcohol “increases the risk of breast cancer by increasing the levels of hormones such as oestrogen in the body.”
My doctor suspects I have a hormone imbalance, can anyone tell me if this could be caused by alcohol and if the increased levels of hormones alcohol causes could also affect you emotionally/mentally as I suffer from terrible mood swings and depression. Thank you for your help, it is much appreciated.
