Your hair is not getting enough moisture and may even have issues holding moisture in once it gets it.

Shampoo less, use leave in conditioner, and if you still find your hair getting drier through out the day, start putting a few drops of hair oil in with your leave in or applying it after the leave in.

You might benefit from switching to foaming wrap lotion as well. It’s just like mousse but more moisturizing and better sealing.

Split ends also come from other things such as.
Sleeping on cotton pillow cases.
Drying your hair by rubbing it with a towel. and being that you have curly hair i wouldnt do that becuase it cuases frizz.

I dont know the cuase for your split ends but I know plenty ways to reduce and fix the promblem as much as possible.

Start by getting your ends cut every 6-10 weeks your choice for in between.
then try reparing your damage with a deep conditoner treatment. I wouldnt wash my hair alot being thats its curly its more frizz and actually condtioner if its to much makes your hair hard, becuase of all the protein. So i would do it evertime i wash my hair. about once a week or twice.
