I’m Irritable for No Reason, What’s Wrong With Me?

Question by Ms. Cosmetics (new account): I’m irritable for no reason, what’s wrong with me?
I’m a 14-year-old girl and I’m extremely pessimistic. I have OCD due to New York City and feeling inadequate without it, because for some reason, my heart calls it ‘home’, even though in this lifetime I have never lived there and wasn’t born there either. Anyway, my parents have sent me to numerous therapy sessions but I stopped I think at the beginning of this year or something. Apparently, I was suffering from a minor depression — “minor” isn’t so much the word as “clinical” but nobody wanted to give me pills because they don’t believe in those. My parents think there are natural remedies such as psychology and exercise. My life is so much more complicated. But I won’t bore you with it. You can read previous questions of mine for elaboration.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I’m extremely negative about everything — people are bad, my friends are all fake, everybody wants something from me, etc. I also suffer from severe anxiety — I always think I’m gonna get shot or there will be a plane crash or the roof is gonna fall on my head (the silliest one) or a family member will get an illness. I don’t have PMS at the moment; my period left yesterday. But I feel irritable and sad for no reason today. I had begun to hide all my depressive symptoms to make everybody less tense and annoyed to be around me. But there’s only so much I can hide. I’m living such a lie. And it’s not an “adolescent” thing either. I guess I just snapped, there’s only so much I can take. But please help me! I don’t know what’s going on with me. I keep snapping at my parents and being rude to my sister, I feel possessed. I don’t know. Help please?
I have to force myself to cry and have social anxiety as well. Nobody understands me. For about a month, I actually RAN out of tears. Funny, I know. But not impossible, as I would know from experience.

I’ve heard that many people recover from depression simply by avoiding sugar.
The ultimate healing solution is to accept. Surrendering negativity is the other part, it’s very important. You should understand it’s an addiction (negativity). AA helps.
