Question by good_morning_sunshine: Is it ok to break a 4mg pill of Hydromorphone in half?
I know some pills are slow release so youre not supposed to, so I wanted to be sure. It also has the usual “do not drink alcohol” sticker on it..what will drinking do? will it increase its effects or make you tired or is it more serious than that?
well it says take it every 4-6 hours…and its not a capsule but its also not scored with a line through it…theres just a number on it.

Is it a pill or a capsule? If it’s a pill the rule is that it can be broken if it is scored (has a line scored thru the middle)
. Drinking alcohol can increase the effects of many drugs and can do so at very inconvenient moments, such as when you need to know the difference between the gas pedal and the brake. Some drugs cause liver damage when combined with alcohol and can make you quite ill. In short, don’t.
A slow release drug will have directions stating ‘take one every eight hours’ or more.
