Sometimes I get bored and may randomly hit a set of fifteen push ups or so.

It’s possible, but it requires quite a large amount. Fifteen push ups here and there is definitely not too much.

Yes, it is theoretically possible to work out too much, but a few push-ups ain’t gonna do it. It takes incredibly intense workouts to overdo it.
