My Son Just Drew Me a Picture of a Woman “ghost” or Spirit He Says He’s Been Seeing…?
Question by : My son just drew me a picture of a woman “ghost” or spirit he says he’s been seeing…?
for about seven months in our house. He says he sees her out of the corner of his eye, but when he turns to face her, and she vanishes. He says she does not seem threatening, nor is he afraid, other than the first time he saw her. He seems to be telling the truth, as opposed to pulling my leg. What to make of this, I do not know.
More info: this conversation occurred at dinner tonight… my husband had excused himself from the table, & was in another part of our (two-story) house. (We were all downstairs.) Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something white moving down the hall. It appeared to be a person wearing white. It happened very quickly; I assumed it was my husband. I called out his name & got no response. My son, who was also facing the same hall, saw movement as well. It was not my husband; he soon came from an opposite corner of the house, and was NOT wearing white.
It was then that my son relayed to me that he had seen this woman, ititially out of the corner of his eye. I didn’t ask too many questions. Our dining room is diag. from the TV room & he says he has “caught” her watching him watch TV & then she vanishes…he says its been going on 2 years, when he’s alone. We’ve lived here 8 yrs. Civil war battlefields all around us. Our house is 10 yrs. old. (Other son saw nothing.)
I have added details to answer questions asked. I am not sure if I am “pre-disposed” but I can tell when my son is lying, usually, and he seems not to be in this case…I believe my son believes what he saw, at the very least. And I know I saw something myself tonight, that was not my husband, walking down our hall…
His drawing is very simple…this person looks rather like Wilma Flintstone with long hair, which I said to him, and we had a good laugh…he didn’t draw shoes, and I asked…he said he never saw her feet…I asked if she had eyes, and he said yes, or it would have scared him half to death…I asked why he’d never told me before…he said he wasn’t sure, it just seemed like somthing that was “OK”, but didn’t elaborate…I didn’t want to make a big fuss or seem to dwell on the subject…but I saved the drawing…

Since the “ghost” seems friendly treat it as an imaginary friend. There is no need to be concerned unless the ghost starts telling him what to do. Even if the ghost tells him to do good things, it is still a bad sign. At that point, I would have him evaluated by a psychiatrist.
