In the past, I’ve seen prom party as just another huge party, like New Years for example. However, I’m coming to realize just how different this weekend is for teens. Consider these statistics: “On a typical prom weekend in the United States 48 teenagers are killed, 5,202 are injured, and 40% of them are alcohol related.” Now the reason I wrote this is because today we were given a presentation on drunk driving, and like most presentations I showed up so I could miss Calculus class.
