by sirwiseowl Question by Clyde: In need of help.. can “depression” “go away”? I am not sure but I think i have been depressed for the last 3 years (I have checked the symptoms in medical sites and they fit perfectly-unfortunately for me). And I am slowly losing motivation. I think it is getting harder for me to cope and all this numbness is honestly pathetic. I was wandering if I am just going through a -prolonged obviously- phase, a rough patch and not depression. Do you think it is likely to fade away in time, or should I seek medical help? If you support this last thing, do you think I should visit a psychologist or a psychiatrist ( I would like to avoid that, since I am 17.)
