Question by Bauer523: The Local Church movement (aka “The Lord’s Recovery”). Anyone heard of them? Thoughts? For a year now I have been doing a bible study on campus at my college with 2 guys associated with this “local church movement”. They use a version of the bible called The Recovery Version that has commentary written by Witness Lee. They also pray differently than other Christians and continually overstress various points in study, which they consider “lost truths”, such as: “God’s economy”, the human spirit, Christian “overcomers”, oneness, “exercising your spirit”, and “calling on the name of the Lord”. They also believe some things I have a problem with, like they believe Jesus IS the Father and the Spirit. Sorta pentacostal-like in their view of the trinity.
