Question by l0st: What are the effects of pentobarbitone? During some reasearch, I came across a death certificate, which stated the cause of death to be “Poisoning by pentobarbitone and alcohol”. This was in 1964. What would this have most likely been prescribed for (was it only availible by prescription in the U.K.) and what would be the effects of taking it with alcohol?
