Most people that have been involved in an intimate relationship have experienced, to some varying degree, some or all of the above emotional states. When we open up and share ourselves with another, we expose a sense of our vulnerability. We contribute parts of ourselves to the relationship itself, thus allowing ourselves to feel a brevity of emotional sensations.
