Top Stroke Rehabil: Stricker Takes 2-Stroke Lead

Steve Stricker stood in the bunker left of the first fairway, eyed his ball in the rough on the edge of the trap, then looked at the flag 122 yards away. If it felt like he’d been in that position before, well, that’s because he had. “I had that same stance in my pro-am,” he said. “Same bunker, same exact shot. I was right in the same spot.” All he wanted to do was get the ball on the green, which he did. And then came the shot of the day, a 75-foot putt for birdie that led to an 8-under-par 63 Saturday and a two-stroke lead after three rounds of the John Deere Classic. Read more... ...

Stroke Rehabilitation Techniques: Mirror Box Therapy for Stroke Rehabilitation

A stroke can be caused by either too little blood to the brain, a ischemic stroke, or too much blood in the skull, a hemorrhagic stroke. They warned me tho that she is very scared of people. Her previous owner said that she could only, and I repeat only tolerate him and his wife. She was extremely scared of everyone else. We had a little trouble to take her to the outside but when we opened car door she jumped right into the car and was very calm on the way to my house (she appears to like to be driven ). In fact from first moment they acted like they grown up together, but still she remains scared of me and my family. She never shown that she is aggressive at all, but she is scared of every sound we make near her and if we try to approach her she tries to escape like her life depends on it. I need some help and advice how to calm her  ...

Physical Medical and Rehabilitation: What Is Medical Rehabilitation?

Though people who need physical therapy are in contact with their PTs in the course of their physical rehabilitation rather than with their doctors, the fact is that one cannot undergo a course of rehabilitation procedure without a consult with a legitimate PM&R or rehab doctor. A cardiac patient who underwent a coronary bypass will be likely referred by his cardiologist to a rehab doctor to get back into shape so to speak. A patient who recovered from a stroke that affected his motor skill, would be referred by his neurologist to a rehab doctor gain back some of his lost mobility. Read more... ...
