Question by ontariobiatch: labeled drug addict or suffer without meds? hi, im in a bit of a pickle here, im having problems with my family doctor’s office…i have been diagnosed with ADHD, Narcolepsy, Insomnia and Clinical Depression, and 5 years ago i’ve been prescribed some stimulants to treat my narcolepsy…been prescribed modafinil (VERY pricey and not covered on my Disability drug plan) i’ve tried it for a few months…worked great but the problem was i could not afford it anymore…so my specialist had switched me to Methyphenidate…up to 60 mg a day(also known as Ritalin…and is covered on my plan) so good a few little side effects i could handle for the first few months…then, i went to see my psychiatrist and recomended i get on some sleeping aid…been insomniac since i was a young child, my mind just doesnt rest…so….im going nuts lol ….so i sent my letter from my shrink to my family dr….i mentione ...
