Best answer: Answer by Junoas a person diagnosed with depression for 3 years with no course of treatment whatsoever, i think i can answer this. being continuously disappointed withers down a person’s sefl-esteem, and their will to strive to do better. this can result in depression because the person begins to feel like everything bad happens to them and they tend to fall to the pessimisstic side of every argument because they already know that something bad will happen based on their previous negative experiences.
