is there going to be a season 6 of the show Celebrity Rehab on vh1? I really love that show!

According to the rumors, the reality show is taking an indefinite hiatus and might not return as a result of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s increasingly busy schedule, but Irwin Entertainment head John Irwin says the rumors are groundless.

Personally, I think the first is correct, the second to be a press release to cover up that Dr. Drew doesn’t intend to do anymore. He’s got a nightly show now.

Dr. Drew has been pushing his luck with the show, there have been plenty of relapses and some deaths of the “celebrities” that have appeared. Real celebrities kept turning him down. Couple more deaths and people will realize what he’s selling isn’t working.

I am thinking yes as the updates on other seasons that came out tonight are new so in that we have new shows coming already but remains to be seen what the other seasons will have over time.

As far as the celebrities and the success rate whether show or not and good doctor or not sobriety starts with the person not the doctor. Drew seems to have the best interest of the patients in mind and as a addict of painkillers myself sober for over 2 years I relapsed numerous times before I got it right so that has nothing to do with the show. Out of 10-15 of my closest friends and me I am the only one that got sober and stayed that way. The prescription meds and availability of street drugs is so high and it only takes one time to do it before you are hooked. You can go to rehab all day long but if you don’t want it then it is not going to happen. Mike Starr, Jeff Conway, these were addicts as seen didn’t really embrace the want for sobriety. They knew they needed to but I do not believe the want was there.
