What Do You Major in and Then Get a Master’s Degree in to Become a Physical Therapist?
Question by Ian B: What do you major in and then get a master’s degree in to become a physical therapist?
It doesn’t seem like any schools actually offer a “physical therapy” major.

There isn’t such a thing.
It doesn’t matter what you major in, as long as you do the required prerequisites, which you can find on your PT program of choice’s website.
My college offers the option of majoring in physiology then doing an advanced DPT, which is the doctorate, as a physiology major will often have the classes you need.
You could get your master’s degree in physical therapy assistant, but getting the DPT (doctorate of physical therapy) only takes one more year and makes you an official physical therapist.
